What Happens if I Extend a Passive Probe Using BNC/Coax?

This method will not work as the signal waveform would be very distorted. The coax acts as a heavy shunt-capacitance at the 'output' jack of the passive probe circuit. As a result, this excessive shunt-capacitance attenuates the high frequency components of the waveform excessively. Please see the attachment file for an example of this effect.
