EVALUATION OF OPTICAL PASSIVE DEVICE USING SYNCHRONIZED SWEEP

Evaluation of Optical Passive Device Using Synchronized Sweep

  • Enables synchronous sweep measurement* when used with the AQ2200-136 turnable laser source (wavelength range: 1440-1640 nm).
Dynamic Range of 80 dB or more!
Wavelength window: 60 dB or higher at 1440-1640 nm

Wide dynamic-range measurement using a synchronous wavelength sweep function of a tunable laser source and optical spectrum analyzer is suitable for evaluating devices with high crosstalk. Through synchronized sweep with the AQ2200-136 Turnable Laser Source, the AQ6319 Optical spectrum analyzer can achieve dynamic measurement of a wide, 80 dB or higher.
Also, peak/bottom wavelength, level, crosstalk, and ripple width can be simultaneously measured using the optical filter function.

* Synchronous sweep measurement is a function that performs wavelength sweep measurement while synchronizing the measurement wavelength of the optical spectrum analyzer to the emission wavelength of the turnable laser source, all without using an external PC for control.

  • About twice the measuring speed compared to our conventional synchronous sweep. (AQ6317C OSA and AQ4321 TLS*)
Measurement conditions: SPAN: 100 nm, SENS: NORM HOLD, SAMPLE: 1001
