I Can't Establish Communications with the Measuring Station When Connecting to the Ethernet via Serial Communication
Solution:
After entering the communications settings with serial communications, use the main power switch on the back of the measuring instrument to perform a power cycle. Also, in the MS DOS prompt window, try executing the command "ping XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX" (where XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX is the IP address for the WE7000). If the message, "Reply from..." is displayed that means the communications settings were successfully entered, but if the "Time out..." message is displayed please check the TCP/IP settings on the PC and the cable connections.
