Testing Including Layer2/Layer3 Network
- Not only Layer 2 but also Layer 3 lines can be tested for connection and maintained. Tests that can be conducted include: Ping, traffic rate, latency, and frame loss tests.

LAN/MAN/WAN Network Installation and Maintenace
Expediting testing work on the engineer side. More than one unit can be remotely controlled from a single personal computer through Telnet.
- LAN/MAN-E/WAN-E Network Installation
It is effective to check the traffic rate, data delay (IP telephone, TV confirance) and Frame Loss (IP telephone, TV conference) during installation. this eliminates the possibility of a network primal failure.
As installation tests are mostly set in a menu, the AE5501 can program ten conditions prior to the installation. The installer could simply select a menu to set up conditions, there by saving time.
- LAN/MAN-E/WAN-E Network Maintenace
Simple operation makes maintenance work also easy to handle. Being able to adapt to different Ethernet network (10 M/100 M/1 G) and conditions (VLAN, DHCP, ARP...) with one tester is very useful.
Confirming problems and implementing solutions is easy.
CATV Network Maintenance/Installation
CATV-based Internet access installation and maintenance through DHCP and ARP protocol support through Telnet.- Latency and frame loss can be measured from a small amount of traffic flowing over the working lines.
