What is the Service Procedure for Verifying Time Axis Accuracy?

The Time Axis Accuracy is the accuracy of the A/D clock. It is not possible to directly measure the A/D clock and the A/D clock is not output from the ScopeCorder DL850/SL1400. To verify the accuracy of the A/D clock, you will need to input a 1.0005 MHz wave into DL850/SL1400 under the condition of 1ms/div and 10k Record length.

If the horizontal scale is 1ms/div and the record length is 10k results in a sampling rate of 1MHz. If the sampling rate is 1MHz and the signal input is 1.0005MHz, a 0.0005MHz aliasing effect occurs. You will then confirm whether the accuracy of the aliasing effect result value is in the range of 0.0005MHz ± 0.005%.

If the result is in the range of 0.0005MHz ± 0.005%, then the time axis is within specification. The result of an aliasing phenomenon has the same accuracy of the real input signal. This method is used for DL850/SL1400 but other DL series scopes uses a similar method.
