These are the security updates to address the WannaCrypt / WannaCry ransomware which initially surfaced in 2017. You can update the Instrument’s OS by following the same procedure for a normal firmware update.
The applicable products and versions are as follows.
The OS versions can be found on [SYSTEM]-＜VERSION＞ screen.
|Applicable Product||OS Version
(to be updated)
|AQ6370D-12/AQ6370D-22||R02.01 to R02.03||R02.04||AQ6370D-OSPatch_WannaCrypt.zip|
|AQ6376||R01.01 to R01.04||R01.05|
When you connect a device in which the directory sharing setting is [ON] or the firewall setting is [OFF] to a network infected with ransomware, the device may reboot.
The reboot can be avoided by setting the directory sharing to [OFF] and the firewall to [ON] after the updated OS Version is installed.
The instrument runs on the Windows Embedded OS. Thus, the directory and files in the system area are protected and not rewritten by a virus attack. Also, files automatically created by the virus are not written and stored. Therefore, the device will not be infected by the virus or become the source of infection. However, the device will reboot when an unusual action by the virus occurs causing an access violation.
Please read Software Agreement carefully before downloading.

(for AQ6150 and AQ6151)
Downloading of the software indicates acceptance of the software agreement.
The AQ6150 and AQ6151 models simultaneously measures the wavelength and power levels of both CW and Modulated optical signals from Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) components, transceivers, and transmission systems for metro, long haul, and access network applications with high speed data rates of 10G, 40G, 100G and beyond.
Popular TELECOM wavelength Range of 600nm to1700nm makes this an ideal model for Telecommunications applications for both singlemode and multi-mode optics.
Dedicated SHORT wavelength Range of 350nm to1200nm allows this model to accurately measure the visible spectrum of 380nm to 780nm for bio-sciences and beyond. It is also a popular tool for measuring 1064nm Nd:YAG, DPSS Laser sources.
The AQ6374 Wide Range Optical Spectrum Analyzer covers wavelengths from 350 to 1750 nm including visible lights (380 to 780 nm) and the telecommunication wavelengths.
High Performance LONG WAVELENGTH
The AQ6375B is a bench-top optical spectrum analyzer covering the long wavelengths, 1200 to 2400 nm, with the added benefits of gas purging input ports / output ports, a built-in cut filter for high order diffracted light, and a novel double speed mode which increases the sweep speed up to 2 times compared to the standard sweep mode.
MWIR WAVELENGTH with internal gas purge and cut filter
The AQ6376 is the latest version of our bench-top optical spectrum analyzer extending the wavelength coverage well beyond the NIR range of our previous models into the MWIR region from 1500 to 3400 nm.
Popular applications include the detection of gases such as carbon oxides (COx), nitrogen oxides (NOx), and hydrocarbon gas (CxHy) for environmental studies.
