This Privacy Notice (the “Notice”) applies to the processing of personal information  (“Personal Data”) submitted through this site by Yokogawa Test and Measurement Europe Corporation (“Yokogawa”) Amersfoort, Netherlands.

  1. Processing of your Personal Data

Yokogawa may collect and process Personal Data, which you have inputted above such as your identification and contact details. The servers storing the Personal Data are located in Netherlands and Germany (EU).

This site is making use of Web Analytics Tools, which tracks your activity within Yokogawa websites and helps us to analyze the traffic on the same. At any time, you can opt out of the aforementioned by changing the settings of your browser in case your current browser setting allows us to track. Yokogawa requires this Personal Data to carry out its business activities and fulfil its legal and contractual obligations, and specifically for this site:

  • to respond to your inquiry;
  • to analyze customer needs and improve our products and services; fraud prevention and other legal requirements imposed on us; and
  • improvement of our website and other online services, and so on.

You are not required to provide your Personal Data we request from you, but we would not be able to respond to any queries you may have without processing your Personal Data.

Yokogawa may ask your consent to process your Personal Data for direct marketing purposes, in which case you may withdraw such consent at any time by sending an email to data.privacy@nl.yokogawa.com.

In this case, if you select “Yes, I agree” for “May we offer you more information on our products & services?”, Yokogawa shall process your Personal Data to provide:

  • email subscription service to provide you information about our resources, products and services (including events and webinars); and
  • specific offers and solutions relevant to you via the contact details you have provided.

For direct marketing purposes, Yokogawa shall profile your interest in Yokogawa products & solutions based on your activities on Yokogawa websites, such as frequency of downloading our contents or access.

Yokogawa may also process Personal Data based on other legal grounds such as for compliance with its legal or regulatory obligations, in order to perform the contract which you are a party to, to protect your vital interests or those of another individual, or for its own legitimate interests unless overweighed by your interests or fundamental rights and freedom.

Where Yokogawa is processing and using your Personal Data as permitted by legitimate interest, Yokogawa will process your Personal Data (i) only for as long as is required to fulfil the purposes set out above or (ii) until you object to Yokogawa’s use of your Personal Data (unsubscribe), unless it is legally obliged to retain it for a longer period. If you have selected a country within EEA and Switzerland, the retention period shall be  maximum five years from entry unless we cannot confirm your inquiry has been fully responded or we are legally obliged to retain it for a longer period.

Where Yokogawa is processing and using your Personal Data under your consent, Yokogawa will process your Personal Data until you withdraw your consent.

  1. Transfer of your Personal Data

Yokogawa may provide access to your Personal Data or transfer it to:

  • representatives, agents in your country / region; and
  • subcontractors for monitoring and automation necessary to fulfil our purposes.
  1. Your rights in relation to our processing of your Personal Data

You have the right to request access to your Personal Data as processed by us and to have it corrected or deleted, unless Yokogawa is legally required to retain it. You have also the right to restrict our processing of your Personal Data or to object to such processing, under the conditions and within the limits set forth in the applicable law.
