Using an SD card, the model AQ7280 Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) can transfer measurement data over a cellular network. In the AQ7280, insert the SD card with wireless LAN* into the SD card slot and set the storage location for the OTDR measurement data to [SD card] (Figure 1).
OTDR Data Transporter (Figure 2) is a software application for Android/iOS. Users can obtain OTDR measurement data in FlashAirTM by installing this software on their smartphones or tablets. The user can analyze the acquired measurement data on the mobile device screen and can attach the data to an email message.
APPLICATION EXAMPLES
Attach the OTDR measurement trace to an email with the user’s smartphone and send it to the fuser. Fusing operators who receive emails from smartphones can perform fusing while checking the OTDR measured trace data (Figure 3).
Create a report after measuring with AQ 7280, attach the report to an email on the user’s smartphone and send it to their office. Users do not need to travel to the office from the work site to submit the report (Figure 4).
