How do I Recover From a DL850 Firmware Upgrade Failure?

If during the DL850/DL850 firmware upgrade process, the display screen turns black, blue, or something in between and the installation failed, please complete the following steps. You will need a USB printer cable to complete the recovery process.
  1. Download the file
    http://support.us.yokogawa.com/downloads/TMI/HFI/DL850/DL850_Recovery_to_110_via_USB_Cable.zip
  2. Contact Yokogawa Technical Support with the unit's serial number and for zipped file password
  3. Unzip all files to a folder destination
  4. Connect the DL850 to PC with a USB printer cable
  5. Install the USB driver onto your PC
  6. Power DL850 OFF
  7. While holding the F2 soft key, power DL850 ON
  8. Wait for at least 15 seconds
  9. Double click the Update850.BAT file
  10. Follow on-screen prompts
  11. When binary upload to DL850 is complete, cycle the power
  12. Power DL850 ON
  13. Allow firmware installation to complete
