These are the security updates to address the WannaCrypt/ WannaCry ransomware which initially surfaced in 2017. You can update the Instrument’s OS by following the same procedure for a normal firmware update.

When you connect a device in which the directory sharing setting is [ON] or the firewall setting is [OFF] to a network infected with ransomware, the device may reboot.
The reboot can be avoided by setting the directory sharing to [OFF] and the firewall to [ON] after the updated OS Version is installed.
The instrument runs on the Windows Embedded OS. Thus, the directory and files in the system area are protected and not rewritten by a virus attack. Also, files automatically created by the virus are not written and stored. Therefore, the device will not be infected by the virus or become the source of infection. However, the device will reboot when an unusual action by the virus occurs causing an access violation.
