Since autumn 2024, the DLM3000HD series has expanded Yokogawa’s oscilloscope portfolio, joining the “High Definition Family” – from the 8-channel DLM5000HD oscilloscope to the modular transient recorder with up to 16-bit. After the successful launch of the DLM5000HD last year, Yokogawa has introduced another high-resolution oscilloscope to the market, the DLM3000HD.
Equipped with modern hardware and a 12-bit A/D converter, it provides optimal signal representation and enables detailed analysis, as required in power electronics development. The 12-bit resolution is maintained without limiting the sampling rate or number of channels. In high-resolution mode, resolutions of up to 16-bit can be achieved.
The DLM3000HD is available as a 4-channel model with bandwidths of 350 MHz and 500 MHz and operates at a sampling rate of 2.5 GS/s. The 12-bit A/D converter technology together with the reduced baseline noise deliver the clarity needed to capture even the smallest details. This makes the DLM3000HD a reliable choice for developing and testing inverters, electric motors, and fast switching processes with silicon carbide (SiC) components.
In addition, the DLM3000HD series enables synchronization of two devices with the DLMsync function, allowing up to eight analog channels to be used. This is particularly advantageous when analyzing 3-phase systems for voltage and current measurements. For applications requiring even more channels, the DLM5000HD series offers the option to synchronize up to 16 channels.
Another highlight of the DLM3000HD series is the extended history memory. It stores up to 200,000 acquisitions and allows detailed post-processing of the data. Combined with advanced search functions, the history memory enables the capture and precise analysis of details or anomalies in the measurement signal, even when the signal characteristics are not known yet or no trigger function is applied.
With the special B-Trigger function, different trigger types can be combined, making it easier to test timing behavior in motor reference pulses or drive pulses.
The DLM3000HD and DLM5000HD provide optimal support for the development and optimization of control units, drives, serial bus systems, and other applications in power electronics, such as machines, inverters, generators, and industrial plants.
