Best wishes for the Christmas period and the New Year

Since my last message in January, the European economy doesn't seem to have improved. The value of the Euro is lower; there is low or zero inflation, ever lower oil prices and new problems in the automotive industry.

However, at Yokogawa Test & Measurement we continued to move on. The high point of the year was the ISO 17025 accreditation of our European calibration laboratory. As the market leader in power analysers and the only non-governmental organisation with an accreditation for power measurement up to 100 kHz, we are the only power measurement company which is able to directly prove the performance of their power measuring instruments. In practice this also means that your Yokogawa instrument can be shown to be up to 10 times more accurate than our specifications.

As more and more applications consume power at higher frequencies and attention is made to the actual validity of power and efficiency measurements, a high frequency accredited calibration provides the proof.

In 2015, we released new improved versions of two flagship instruments, the world's most accurate and stable power analyser (the WT3000E) and the 5th generation of the world's most popular power meter (the WT300E).

We have also been busy expanding the capabilities of our waveform and data acquisition products. By adding 3 new modules to the DL850E ScopeCorder, we continue to expand its flexibility and potential to satisfy more and more applications. With the addition of SENT bus support in both our ScopeCorder and DLM MSOs, and CAN FD in the DLMs, we address the emerging buses being considered for automotive and transportation applications. The new 4 channel ScopeCorder module enables more channels to be simultaneously measured and thus the ability to measure and analyse even bigger and more complex systems.

During this International Year of Light and Light based Technologies (IYL 2015), we launched the AQ6375B Optical Spectrum Analyser, the ideal instrument for the accurate testing and characterisation of optical devices and systems used in single-mode optical communications and for environmental analysis, thanks to its capability of measuring signals with wavelengths up to 2400 nm.

Your success is our success. These and other product introductions and your continuing trust in us to provide the precision products you need, have contributed to another successful year for Yokogawa Test & Measurement.
Thank you for your business in 2015 and we look forward to a mutually successful 2016.
