To support Yokogawa’s position as the world’s foremost supplier of power analyzers and meters, Yokogawa Europe and Africa offers leading calibration capabilities from its European Standards Laboratory at Amersfoort in the Netherlands.
Calibration is the comparison of an instrument’s performance with a standard of known accuracy. The standards used in the laboratory, trace their accuracy to national and international standards via national laboratories and hence “traceability” is provided to meet the requirements of quality standards such as ISO9001.
Traditionally, AC power meters are calibrated at frequencies from 50 to 440 Hz. With the increasing demand for power measurement at high frequencies for measurements on switch-mode power supplies, high-frequency electronic lighting ballasts, soft starters in motor control systems, and frequency converters in traction applications, phase shift has now become one of the most critical specifications for the high bandwidth power meter’s uncertainty.
Calibration of high frequency power has lagged behind the development of power meters to address these applications, and few national laboratories can provide traceability up to 100 kHz.
Yokogawa is the only industrial (i.e. non-government or national) organisation to offer this capability
Other leading capabilities include:
Certificates are supplied which include measurement values and the result with reference to the manufacturers specifications.
