Where can I Find Documentation Describing the *.WDF File Format?

What is WDF?

A WDF file is a proprietary waveform file made up of a common header block and blocks of data organized by type, which are referred to as chunks. Chunks are analogous to boxes that data is placed in. Multiple chunks are strung together to form a single WDF file. For information about the .WDF file structure, please refer to appendix 10 of the DL950 Features Guide (attached). We also provide a MATLAB WDF Access Toolbox and WDF File Access Library that contain more details and explanations regarding the *.WDF file format.

MATLAB WDF Access Toolbox
The MATLAB WDF Access Toolbox for the DLM/DL/SL series allows the importing of WDF files directly into MATLAB. To obtain this toolkit, please follow the link below for a free trial version of this toolkit:

WDF File Access Library
We also have the WDF File Access Library Software that offers an API (Application Program Interface) for acquiring data from waveform data files (WDF) saved on the measurement instrument.
