How do I use the DLM2000 Mixed Signal Oscilloscopes Enhanced Parameter Measurement and Calculation Feature?

The DLM2000 Series mixed signal oscilloscopes are capable of performing enhanced parameter measurements and calculations. This feature allows you to perform automated measurements of waveform parameters of two different areas. It will also allow you to perform automated calculations using the measured waveform parameters such as RMS, max, min, frequency, rise, fall, etc. To configure the DLM2000 for enhanced measurements and calculations, follow the procedures listed below:

  1. Press the Measure » Enhanced soft button
  2. Press the Item Setup (Area2) soft button
  3. Use the Jog Shuttle and SET knob to set the source waveform and measurement items
  4. Press ESC to return to Enhanced Setup menu
  5. Press the Time Range soft button and select the display window Main, Zoom1, or Zoom2
  6. Press ESC to return to Enhanced Setup menu
  7. Use the Jog Shuttle and SET knob to set the Time Range
  8. Press the Calc Setup soft button to modify and select the expression to use

Please see the attached PowerPoint file for more examples of enhanced calculation expressions.

Note

  • Make sure you are running Firmware version 1.81 or later.
  • You cannot use the enhanced parameter measurement feature when the statistical processing mode is set to Cycle
