On a DM7560 Digital Multimeter, with AUTO INPUT RESISTANCE, why is a voltage of from 0 to 5V is observed with nothing connected?

The input resistance of DM7560 Digital Multimeter is more than 1Gohm at 100mV, 1V, 10V range. Input bias current of DM7560 Digital Multimeter can not be eliminated. The small input current flows into the input resistance of DM7560 Digital Multimeter. So, several volts appear at the input, and it is measured and displayed. If the input is connected with a resistor or wire between HI and LO, the displayed value becomes around zero volts. Therefore, the unit is not malfunctioning.
