The VZ20X Analog Sensing Unit is the world’s smallest class of sensing remote I/O unit. Capable of measuring multiple analog signals simultaneously at high voltages, at high speed, and with high accuracy, the VZ20X enables data from a variety of isolated inputs to be measured at once and eliminates the need for numerous data measurement devices.
Key Features
The VZ20X Analog Sensing Unit is a low-speed data acquisition device that enables simultaneous multi-channel measurements from multiple instruments that are precise, accurate, and reliable.
A single VZ20X device can measure eight channels of analog inputs at high speed with a sampling cycle of 1ms and supports simultaneous measurement up to 15 units and 120 channels. Just as impressive is its capability to perform extremely precise measurements that boast synchronization accuracy of ±100 µs, measurement accuracy of ±0.05%, temperature measurement accuracy within ±0.16°C, and voltage measurements accuracy to ±1mV.
Able to communicate via Modbus/TCP protocols through the IS8000 Integrated Test and Measurement Software Platform and the GA10 Data Logging Software, the VZ20X enables data synchronization across multiple devices and different instruments. Acting as a compact signal conditioner, it easily integrates with other instruments to log data to an external PC, resulting in more accurate data with less hassle for more efficient data analysis.
The VZ20X supports all different types of analog sensors, including but not limited to universal signals, DC voltage, thermocouple (TC), 3-wire/4-wire RTD, 4-wire resistor, and more.
Isolation between input channels makes the VZ20X highly noise resistant for more stable data measurements in all manner of noisy environments, even when simultaneously measuring multiple channels.
With the USB Type Detection Disable feature on the VZ20X, users can power the device by sources other than USB Type-C. Because the device can be powered from a PC’s USB Type-A port, there is no need for an external 24V DC power supply or power cable, which reduces costs and increases efficiency. The VZ20X can also connect to a power-over-Ethernet (POE) splitter, enabling power via Ethernet cable.
Shorter and narrower than a business card and weighing less than 200g, the VZ20X is one of the world’s smallest analog sensing units. Its lightweight and compact portable design allows for easy installation with a variety of equipment types and in most environments via a simple push-in connection mechanism and ferrule terminal.
