How to Simulate CAM & CRANK Sensor Signals Using a Function Generator

In this video we discuss how to use a function generator to simulate CAM & CRANK sensor signals which can be fed into an ECU to fire its ignition and injector outputs. This is an extremely useful tool for engineers who want to simulate an ECU’s output under different conditions in order to observe and validate different parameters.

Systems validation & reverse engineering with a signal generator and DAQ

In this introductory video, Dami Ashebu, an Application Engineer at Yokogawa discusses how a function generator can be used to simulate signals from the engine of an automobile. These signals can be feed into an ECU which will then cause the ECU to fire its ignition and injector outputs. All of this data can be collected, analyzed and verified with a data acquisition.
