If the GS610 won't connect to software via USB, there could be an issue with the driver. If the GS610 shows up in device manager as "Yokogawa USB Device" and "GS Series" the wrong driver is installed. Uninstall the YKMUSB driver while the GS610 is disconnected from the PC. Then, plug the GS610 back in and check that the device manager says "USB Test and Measurement Device (IVI)".
The GS610 is made up of a programmable current and voltage source, a voltmeter, and an ammeter. Each function can be combined into numerous operation modes.
A Source Measurement Unit (SMU) is a flexible test instrument which is capable of both sourcing and measuring voltage and/or current at the same time.
