For the WT1800 with EX option, the external current sensor can be turned on/off remotely by range setting. Example commands below (found on pg. 5-60 of WT1800 Communication Interface manual). :INPUT:CURRENT:RANGE:ELEMENT1 EXTERNAL,10V -->sets external current range to 10V and turns ON the EXT SENSOR button (button should become illuminated) :INPUT:CURRENT:RANGE:ELEMENT1 50A -->sets current range to 50A and turns OFF the EXT SENSOR button (button light should turn off)
