First I will discuss the SD Card: deleted the exFAT partition on it, and create a partion as FAT32; and then formatted it using EaseUS Partition Master! Windows may not format it as FAT32.
Current spec on SD card size is 32Gbytes; a larger SD may work as well, but not specified to work in the DL850 at this time 03.07.2019;
External eSATA Drive: partition using EaseUS to 1.9Tbytes; then I formatted it using: SmartDisk_FAT32_tool (which is free at VERBATIM site as smdk_fat322); This tool has been the only reliable tool to format an external eSATA HDD for the DL850E;
If you format using the DL850E, it may not complete.
I could not create two partitions – or any number of partitions greater than 2TB in total;
Be sure to boot the HDD first, then boot the DL850E; Do not hot-swap; Do not connect both the USB and the eSATA; I find external eSATA drive a bit clumsy; it has its place though – especially for secured areas;
Items that you need to download: Download Ease US Partition Master 13.0 (free) and SmartDisk_FAT32_tool (Verbatim) (also free);
