DL350 Noise And Vibration Proof

Use it like a data acquisition system or a long memory oscilloscope

Up to 20 Gpoints* of data per module can be recorded directly to an SD card. This means that the DL350 can be used for continuous recording for up to 50 days. For high speed signals, up to 100 M points per module of internal memory is available to capture fast transients. This is up to 10,000 times more than other portable oscilloscopes or test tools and thus signals can be captured with higher sample rates or for much longer periods.

* The firmware version 1.20 or later is required.

Verify power line quality using harmonic, power or FFT analysis

The power in single- and 3-phase systems can be evaluated. Additionally for fundamental waveforms of 50 or 60 Hz, up to 40 harmonic orders can be analyzed. Alternatively use the suite of FFT functions to perform full frequency analysis.

Environmental features for portability

Vibration resistant
Instruments used for in-vehicle driving tests or field maintenance must be able to make reliable measurements. The DL350 has an aluminum inner frame and an external rubber bumper and conforms to the Japanese JIS D1601 standard for resisting in-vehicle shock and vibration.

Wide Temperature Range
Even when used with the rechargeable battery, the DL350 will operate in temperatures from 0 to 45 degrees. The DL350 brings high-quality laboratory measurements into the harsh environments of the field.

A wealth of triggers for fault finding

The user has a choice of a simple level trigger or can use enhanced triggers such as pulse width, waveform period and triggers across multiple channels. For example, the wave window trigger is ideal for AC power line monitoring which enables voltage sags, surges, spikes, phase shifts or drop outs to be easily captured (available for 40 to 1,000 Hz waveforms).

Leave a DL350 unattended and automatically save the waveform to a file or send a notification email if and when it triggers.

Vehicle Edition

The ScopeCorder Vehicle Edition is designed for engineers working in the automotive and railway industry, providing a thorough insight into the dynamic behavior of the electromechanical system. This integrated approach results in considerable time saving compared to using multiple separate instruments.

In-vehicle Testing

CAN/CAN FD bus, LIN bus and SENT monitoring

Use the DL350 with /VE option and bus monitor module to decode CAN/CAN FD bus, LIN bus or SENT signals and display information such as engine temperature, vehicle speed and brake pedal position as trend waveforms and compare this with the analog data coming from the actual sensors. This enables automotive engineers to gain an insight into the dynamic behavior of the complete electromechanical system.

DL350 CAN LIN SENT

Memory recorder mode simplifies data recording for maintenance and monitoring tasks.

The DL350 offers a choice of operating modes, including recorder mode, which makes it easier than ever to set up long-term data recordings. Choose Easy Setup, and the setup wizard quickly guides the operator through the entire setup process. Just select the desired channels, recording duration, and sampling interval, and press Start!

Choosing Easy Setup opens a guided, three-step process to begin recording for up to 50 days.

Logging GPS and Analog Data

Combining position, altitude, and motion data with precise timing, location-based data acquisition is easy with the DL350.

Combining Motion and Analog Measurements

Capture data from motion accelerometers synchronized with other analog data. The DL350 series ScopeCorder features input modules and functions to make this possible.

Power Line Monitoring in Plants and Factories

By using a wave-window trigger, voltage sags, surges, spikes and dropouts can be detected and captured.

Multi-phase voltages up to 1 kVrms and 1.4 kV peak can be recorded using 720268 high-voltage isolation modules.

In the case of unattended operation, waveforms can be saved, or an e-mail sent, when the DL350 is triggered.

DL350 Power Line

Industrial robot maintenance

It is possible to monitor and record the control signals to the servomotors and their speed and torque at the same time.

For condition monitoring, FFT analysis can be used on the vibration signals from accelerometers to help identify potential failures in machines or components.

Remote operation is available using the ‘assistant software’ or the input/output terminals making it potentially safer to use.

Webinars

    Overview:

With ongoing innovations in motor and inverter technologies seeking to advance global decarbonization objectives in the automotive industry, it’s crucial that engineers have a thorough understanding of how to properly analyze these systems.

This complimentary webinar provides engineering professionals involved in motor and control system development with insights that enable data benchmarking and troubleshooting issues related to energy efficiency in electric vehicle (EV) powertrains.

    Key webinar topics include:

    • Establishing baselines for system efficiency
    • Conducting inverter control signal analysis at the systems level
    • Identifying critical measurements for benchmarking inverter input, inverter output, and motor output
    • Analyzing motor control signals, including torque control variables, positional sensors, and pulse-width modulation (PWM), as well as torque measurements
    Overview:

You know the basics of electrical power measurements, have set up your dyno, and made key measurements – which is great. But as your motor and drive projects progress, the complexities of system drive requirements can change frequently. Control algorithms, networked communications, and mechanical systems form a complex web of interactions that need sorting. This 60-minute webinar explains how to get past ground-level measurements and delve into comprehensive solutions that leverage test and measurement instruments including power analyzers, high-speed data acquisition, and real-time software.

    Topics include:

    • How to avoid the “gotcha's” of inverter-based measurements
    • Computations for field-oriented control
    • The integration of CAN bus communications
    • Correlations in the frequency domain
    • Other advanced motor and drive topics

The technical presentation includes an audience Q&A.

    Overview:

Why should you be concerned with your product’s power system voltage and current harmonics? From an engineering perspective, harmonics produce excessive heat in equipment that causes significant damage and results in inefficient operation. From a business perspective, compliance is an absolute requirement for entry into global markets. To minimize or eliminate these issues and establish acceptable levels of harmonics, numerous power quality standards with specifications and limits for harmonic distortion, such as IEEE 519-2014 and IEC61000-3-2, have been introduced. During this webinar, attendees will gain knowledge on the inner workings of harmonics, learn best practices for accurately measuring harmonics, learn to recognize and distinguish the critical difference between DFT and FFT, and discover important measurement tradeoffs across various test equipment.
