Smart glasses are wearable devices that function like ordinary glasses, allowing users to watch videos, listen to music, and access digital information hands-free. In recent years, there has been significant progress in the research and development of direct retinal projection smart glasses, which utilize laser light sources to offer the most compact and highly realistic user experience possible.

These smart glasses employ an RGB laser that combines lasers of the three primary colors of light: red (wavelength: 638 nm), green (wavelength: 520 nm), and blue (wavelength: 450 nm). Accurate spectrum measurement of this RGB laser is essential for achieving vivid imaging, and precise measurement and control of the dominant wavelength are crucial.

Yokogawa's optical spectrum analyzers, known for their superior optical measurement characteristics, can accurately measure the dominant wavelength and spectral width of laser spectrum. Equipped with a standard large core size fiber mode, they enable low-noise optical spectrum measurements using optical fibers with a core diameter of up to 800 μm.

Yokogawa's optical spectrum analyzers also feature various optical spectrum analysis functions. Utilizing the color analysis function compliant with JIS Z 8701 facilitates easy evaluation of dominant wavelengths, chromaticity coordinates (x, y, z), and color temperature.

Furthermore, Yokogawa's optical spectrum analyzers include an optical alignment function and wavelength calibration function. These functions ensure proper optical alignment and correct wavelength errors, thereby maintaining high optical performance over time.
