What is the Lowest Current that can be Measured by the DL Series Oscilloscope Current Probes?

There is no specification of the lowest current for our current probe.

However, it is possible to calculate the lowest current from the accuracy of this probe.

Amplitude Accuracy: +/- ( 1.0% of reading + 1mV)

Output Voltage Rate: 0.1V/A

 

There is a offset error of +/- 1mV. Even if the input current is zero A, there is a possibility that the output is 1mV.

The scaled current value for a 1mV signal is 10mA. Input current less than 10mA cannot be measured.

 

If the current being measured is 20mA, the measured deviation will be 20mA +/- 10mA, and the accuracy is 50%.

Therefore, in most cases 20mA cannot be measured. 

 

The lowest current that can be measured accurately is 1A. The measurement accuracy for 1A input current is +/-2% or 1A +/-20mA( 1.0% of reading + 10mA).

Output Voltage Rate: 0.01V/A

The lowest current that can be measured correctly is 10A.

There is a offset error of +/- 5mV. The scaled current value for a 1mV signal is 500mA.

The lowest current that can be measured correctly is 50A.

The measurement accuracy for 50A input current is +/- 2% or 50A +/-1A( 1.0% of reading + 500mA).
